After months and months of me talking about it, I finally remembered to post the Butterscotch Coffee recipe. I had shared on Periscope and then forgot again. We can all thank National Coffee Day for kicking my memory back into gear and making this post for you. My brain has been at its upper limit for a while heading into the final week before the wedding, building the new house, and I forgot the rest of the list. Needless to say, this butterscotch coffee calms me down and you will love it.
ButterScotch Coffee – Better than Pumpkin Spice Latte’s
After posting on Facebook, I had a LOT of recommendations to make this an adult version as well. I have not tested since I do not drink often but there were quite a few tips to add Captain Morgan, Ciroc Vodka, or some silver Tequila. If you happen to try the adult version, make sure you leave a comment with your recipe so others can try.
I will say, one thing I have been doing daily since discovering Collagen is adding it to any beverage I can. It is completely tasteless and adds 18g of protein per serving while making my body sexy from the inside out. I did an entire post on the Benefits of Collagen. So whether you enjoy the PG-13 version of this or the R-Rated one, make sure you keep it healthy with collagen.

I had a few people ask about Pin it buttons on my website. We have this tool and have for a while, hover your mouse over the image below and you will see it. With that being said, I made the below image so you will always have the recipe. Remember it, pin it, save it, post it and most of all enjoy it. I look forward to reading your comments!

I realize I am late to the game here but just made this sans alcohol as an iced coffee drink (used cold brew) and its DELICIOUS. I am a butterscotch lover and doubted this recipe enough that I had to try it. LOVE IT, thank you!
Sharon
Hi George – which canister of the Vital Proteins in the one you use?
George Bryant
Blue, the collagen peptides
Anthony J. Benson
I am interested

We get our collagen from bone broths and don’t buy alot of supplements. Is the collagen in this recipe necessary? Thanks.
George Bryant
Not necessary at all

I have never been a huge coffee person, let alone bulletproof coffee! I do think that this would change my mind if I gave it a shot!
George Bryant
This has changed a lot of minds so far, try it

Wow! Knock my socks off, delicious! I’ve been a fan of yours ever since I bought ‘the paleo kitchen’ cookbook. The recipes you come up with are absolutely devine. Keep ’em coming!

Idk saying the butterscotch is better than the pumpkin spice latte. That is a big statement. I will have to make it and judge for myself.
George Bryant
Let me know, and thank you for commenting Lane.

That was amazing. A nice change from my mocha. Being the chocolate fanatic that I am, I’ve also tried it by adding cocoa with a little coconut milk to increase creaminess and it was very good as well.
George Bryant
That sounds delicious

No words. This stuff is redonk. I made it tonight when a friend came over (and brought gluten-free pumpkin spice cupcakes) and we both were blown away! Thank you for a delicious recipe that will now get me hooked on coffee ;) Dang you! Kidding. It was awesome…and I may have to try it with a little liquor next time.
Katie
Do you think this would work over ice if the butter was melted and mixed up really well?
George Bryant
Yes I do
Tyler
What would “1 scoop” of collagen be in terms of teaspoons or tablespoons?
George Bryant
About 2 teaspoons
Claire
This is dangerous stuff…and I haven’t even tried the r rated version…bullet proof coffee has been the norm for me for a while now but this took it up a notch! The best part is how easy and delicious it is! Even my 4 yo loves it, asking for “the coffee with the syrup and bubbles on top!” she only gets a little taste?
George Bryant
OMG I don’t condone children drinking coffee but that is hilarious
Dawn
Ok that was just ridiculously awesome. I was addicted to it this weekend but Monday morning it’s back to reality and leaving the treats for the weekend. I definitely will be trying the adult version. We make adult eggnog with Jim Beam Maple and I think it would also be perfect for this!
Yoli
Do you think the 2 Tablespoons of Maple syrup adds too much sugar? Also, is 2 Tablespoons of Butter too much for a woman? I use the butter to cook my eggs in too. I already make bullet proof coffee, love it! Is the combo of butter and Maple what gives it the butter scotch taste??
Thanks so much!!
Emily
Made this this morning. So good! I used only 1 tablespoon of butter, but I think next time I make it I’ll used 1 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon coconut oil. I like the subtle flavor coconut oil gives it.
George Bryant
That sounds great, thanks for commenting
Andrea Stock
OMG! This is so yummy! Since it’s 9 o’clock in the morning I made the nice version. When it get colder I will be making the naughty version with whiskey or maybe a vanilla rum! Thanks for the recipe.
George Bryant
Oh vanilla rum, that sounds phenomenal
dawn
G, thanks for always being real, no BS, your offers are not cloaked in lots of words that in the end are not “free”, you have awesome recipes and give aways, stories etc; thanks for being you!
George Bryant
Thank you so much Dawn, you are awesome.
