Sorry it took a few days for me to get this recipe posted. When I asked on Facebook which recipe everyone wanted first, the Paleo White Chocolate won by a landslide. My intention was the post this the next day but life gets in the way sometimes. We all have our ups and downs, and even though I was never down it doesn’t mean people weren’t trying to drag me there. Little do they know, I am about as stubborn as they come and I can out will anyone. Mainly because I just don’t like to give up so I keep fighting with the biggest smile on my face knowing that Sunny Days will come and I will still be there leading by example. In my short tenure on this earth I have learned that no matter what happens or what people think, if you stay true to your morals and standards, no one can ever bring you down. Lead by example and eventually everyone will follow. And my preaching is over, now on to DELICIOUSNESS.
I really made this recipe so everyone could have a delicious dessert to bring to ANY holiday party and have it ready in literally 5 minutes. You will be shocked at the Paleo or non paleo heads you turn with these ones. Trust me, I tested these on about 15 people, only 5 of which were Paleo. The rest just would not stop eating and I knew it was a winner. Plus they just look sexy and I can tell you that sexy and delicious is the best combination you can have. Oh crap, I forgot to mention in the first paragraph. I am humbled to have been nominated for best recipe for Paleo Magazine with my Lemon Cucumber noodles and the best Food centric blog for the year. I am not going to beg for votes, but if you think I deserve it, I would truly appreciate the vote. You can vote HERE.
And just in case you do not have time to make your own, or just want to support some amazing friends of mine, Head over to Eating Evolved and order all your own Paleo Truffles. Use the code on the image below and please pin it if you would be so kind. I hope you all LOVE your homemade macaroons and stock up on these amazing truffles or send them as healthy holiday gifts.

Thanks , I’ve just been searching for information appxiromately this subject for ages and yours is the best I’ve found out till now. But, what in regards to the conclusion? Are you certain in regards to the supply?
Sharon
I’m going to give this a try. Do you have any suggestions or have a recipe for making lemon macaroons as well?
Do you think I can use coconut flour instead?
Thanks
Monica
George,
Im making these as a welcome back gift for someone who’s been recovering from surgery for the past 6 weeks and is returning to the box tonight! Anyway, my question is, can I substitute the pecan/almond flour for cashew flour?
BTW I have already tried this recipe for valentines day (no substitutions) and they were a hit! Thanks :)
lexee
i went back and watched the real food con video of you making this recipe several times to get all the ingredients written down – i had no idea you had it written out on your site! i did a search because i wanted to share it :) my husband and i LOVEEEEEEEE these SO much. they are addicting! i could eat a couple everyday… thanks so much for sharing!
George Bryant
You are so welcome :)
Pearl
I watched you make these on the real food con and just tried them myself. Super easy to make and a yummy chocolate treat. By the way I really enjoyed watching your presentation, mainly because of your creativity in the kitchen and your “making a mess tastes better” rule. It inspires me to be myself in the kitchen and try anything…
George Bryant
Glad I could inspire you to be daring in the kitchen :)
Meg
These look wonderful! What did you use for the chocolate drizzle? :)
George Bryant
I would try using some dark chocolate chips (I use the Enjoy Life brand- they are dairy, soy and nut free) and some canned coconut milk :)
chaya
I’d like to pin this to my pinterest board. What would be the easiest way to do that?
Thanks!
George Bryant
Please just make sure you reference me in the post, as well as include a link to my website. Thank you!
Missy
These look amazing. I saw you make them on Real Food con. The whole meal looked DeLish!
What do you recommend as a sub for the nut flour in this recipe for those with nut allergies – a real problem for me with so many of these great paleo recipes.
Thanks so much!!
Ciao,
Missy
George Bryant
Hello :) I’m not quite sure what the BEST substitute would be, but maybe try something like sweet potato flour? Let me know what you come up with!
dntworribhappi
OMG this recipe is so DELISH! Thanks George!
Eve
I have been searching for a recipe similar to this!!! YEAH!
I plan on tweaking it to try to mimic my new favorite cookies by Wonderfully Raw… the Lemon Pie Coco-Roons.
I absolutely love those cookies, but at $8 per tiny bag… they’re a bit out of my budget.
I can’t wait to see if this recipe, with the lemon tweaks, will do the trick! Thanks George
George Bryant
Oh make sure you share that when done
George Bryant
That would work Tabitha

These have become my go-to weekend treat!! So delicious and ridiculously easy to make. I have autoimmune issues and I’m following AIP at the moment, so I can’t have the chocolate nor the nut flour, but I leave out the chocolate and use coconut flour and they are such a great treat. Thank you thank you thank you! :)
George Bryant
Your so welcome, I am glad you can make them work for you :)
Rachel
These are pure evil. :)
You can eat several at a time before you know it. Not overly sweet and they are easy to make.
George Bryant
That sounds like an awesome thing to me
Masha
These look awesome and would accommodate most of the diets ( a few vegans, a gluten free, and a diabetic) at my home right now. Any idea how they are on carbs? I’m a temporary diabetic and am in search of a natural low carbs desert (not using artificial sweeteners.)
Thanks!
George Bryant
Masha, I am sorry I do not calculate any nutritional info on any of my recipes. You can go plug it in on fitday.com or myfitnesspal.com to see
Masha
Oh thanks for those links. I will for sure use myfitnesspal.com for future carb search. Very useful. Just FYI the whole recipe comes out to be 120-124 carbs… any ideas how many servings or individual balls this will make? Also learned a lot about this awesome carb alternative almond flour by researching the ingredients. Will most defiantly have to go buy some of that now. Thanks a bunch!
Masha
NM Just saw on the top it’s 12 servings. That’s awesome only 10 carbs per serving. Totaly going to make that!
George Bryant
I hope you enjoy :)
Masha
*dessert not desert :)
Cathy
These look good. I don’t have pumpkin right now, but I do have a banana that needs to be used.
Cathy
I made these with a really ripe banana and maple syrup. Delicious.
George Bryant
Oh that sounds amazing
Taylor
Holy mother of god, these are FANTASTIC, George! You hit a homerun thinking of this recipe. Just made them and they aren’t even finished yet and already taste amazing. I’ve ate 3 so far :O
George Bryant
Woohoo Taylor :)
Mark
Super Easy to make. That much honey seemed to overwhelm them a tad. Perhaps that will lessen as they get colder (used organic raw sourwood honey). Might try Stevia next time, although not sure how much would be equivalent to 1/4 cup honey. Otherwise very tasty and a nice treat.
George Bryant
I have never used stevia so I wouldn’t know
Bethany
In my opinion, stevia is horrible with chocolate. You are welcome to have a different opinion, but I have heard this from others as well so I just thought I’d warn you if you haven’t tried it yet. :)
George Bryant
I have never used Stevia and it isn’t in this recipe Bethany?
Bethany
It was a reply to Mark’s comment. lol :D
George Bryant
Few that makes more sense :) Your awesome
Terra
Thank you so much for this recipe. All other paleo snacks/desserts I have tried taste kind of funky with an odd texture. But these are amazing. My non-paleo father asked me to make more and I will now be quadrupling the recipe from now on. I look forward to trying more of your recipes. Keep up the great work.
George Bryant
Thank you Terra, I am so glad you and your father loved them :) Try my paleo banana bread next :)
Pam
These are fabulous, I just have to be careful not to eat the whole batch myself!
George Bryant
So glad you love them. Enjoy
Sabrina
I am so making these for the End Of The World Cookie & Cocktail party I am going to on the 21st. I <3 you, George!!
George Bryant
Oh awesome. They will be a good final treat lol. <3 you too
Terri
I understand why most of the macaroons to not make it to the refrigerator. this recipe is delicious, and I made the mistake of trying some of the batter. But having read many glowing reviews before making , had enough sense to double the recipe.
George Bryant
Thank you so much Terri. I am so glad you enjoyed and hope you make it many more times
Glenys
These were SO good! I made them for a last-minute visit by my parents. Everyone went back for more! Thanks, George!
George Bryant
your welcome
Steve
It’s a good thing this recipe only takes 5 minutes, because I ate almost half of it before I put it into the fridge and needed to whip up another batch so I had something to show my familiy for all of my effort.
George Bryant
Haha Steve that is awesome. I take it you like them then?
Ann
Just made these this morning to test before bringing them to a friend’s non-Paleo Thanksgiving. They are awesome and my friend’s won’t know what they are missing. Thanks.
George Bryant
Awesome Ann. I am so glad you love them and hope everyone else does as well.
Kelli
These REALLY were so easy and amazing! I’ve pretty much only been cooking recipes from your site for the last three weeks and they never disappoint! Thanks so much!!
George Bryant
Thank you so much Kelli, that makes me happy
Susan Crow
Dear George Love your recipes and am changing my life. Have been a bad diabetic for 17 years but on this diet I have dropped my blood pressure 25 points diastolic and systolic and my blood sugars over 100 points and all in just a few days and lost 16 pounds in 3 months.Your recipes help me stick to it a thing I never could do in the past. Please, What brand and from where do you get your coconut flour. I am having trouble getting it here.
George Bryant
That’s awesome Susan. I get all my coconut flour from tropical traditions
Sarah W
Oh George, you are changing my kitchen one recipe at a time. I made these with the pear butter I just put up in the pantry. Then coated them with white chocolate from last week. Now I just need to find a really good hiding place before the hungry minions descend upon the kitchen and gobble them up. Just to let you know your goodies make being a new type 1 diabetic much easier. Like your “preaching”. keep it up!
George Bryant
Thank you so much Sarah. I hope you enjoy many more
Anne-Marie
I’m on a pre-holiday sugar detox but let me tell you – these little puppies have just jumped to the front of the line of “things to make” when I’m done!!
George Bryant
Well Anne-Marie I can not wait to hear how much you love them :)
Belinda
Omg! Ah-mazing! Only half of the batch made it to the fridge… I couldn’t help myself, lol
George Bryant
Haha Belinda, I love those problems. So glad you enjoyed
Jo Hsu
Do you think this would work with coconut flour in place of the almond flour? Maybe with half the portion because coconut flour is more absorbent? (I ask only because I have a ton of coconut flour right now…)
George Bryant
Honestly I do not know and am unsure of what that would do to the taste. Save 1/2 cup of that coconut flour, I have a new recipe coming you can use it with
Della
Just discovered, in the middle of trying these, that I have no almond flour :-( Any suggestions for replacement?
Thanks
George Bryant
Do you have any almonds or other nuts? Just grind any nuts you have in your food processor or blender and use those
Cathy
These are very easy and really good! I must confess while they are fantastic on their own, I melted some dark chocolate with a little bit of coconut oil and dipped them and then sprinkled them with sea salt and they were delicious. Although much better for you sticking by the original recipe. Thank you so much for all your inspiration and wonderful recipes!
George Bryant
That sounds absolutely Devine
Tracy
I’d love to make these, but I’d skip the honey and use stevia instead. May also use coconut flour as well. Thanks!
George Bryant
Go for it Tracy. Be careful with the coconut flour, it may suck too much moisture out of these
Amy G
These sound simply amazing. I do not have any pumpkin puree on hand at the moment (confession: we ate it all in a paleo pumpkin custard last night). What other fruit purees might work? I have a banana, some applesauce, and some pear butter (spiced) on hand.
George Bryant
Amy you could actually leave it out completely or use any fruit that has the same consistency of pumpkin puree
David
I can vouch for that – I substituted puréed carrot for the pumpkin and it worked a treat. Fantastic recipe George!
