Ingredients
  

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix until thoroughly combined. If needed chill the mixture
  • Pour mixture into ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • When ice cream is done churning, scoop into a glass container and serve right away or chill in the freezer for a couple hours to allow it to firm up before serving.

Notes

Tip: Soak and dehydrate your pecans to boost the nutrition, flavor and crunch!

I am trying g to decide if the Paleo lifestyle is for me. I just got to my goal weight on Low carb and would like to make my diet healthier but I am afraid of more carbs and gaining the weight back with your recipes. I’m not sure where to start! Do you have any advise?

    • I wouldn’t be afraid about trying something out. How will you ever know the outcome otherwise? If you don’t like it and it isn’t working for you, no harm in going back to your previous lifestyle. I’d start off by cutting out all sugar and doing a 21-day detox… let me know if you have any more questions :)

    Recipe sounds yum but here’s my favorite Paleo ice cream recipe:
    2 frozen bananas, 1 avocado (not necessarily frozen), 1 cup frozen berries, additional dark chocolate if desired. Blend together.
    You do need a strong blender.
    My children love this, maybe even as much as they used to love regular old SAD ice cream.

When my five year old daughter was recently diagnosed gluten intolerant and lactose intolerant we switched our loving family of 5 to the paleo lifestyle and have loved it ever since!     I recently found out that I have fibromyalgia and that a high protein/low grain and gluten diet would help me tremendously. After my diagnosis, I started to research fibromyalgia diets and I was continuously led to the paleo diet. I had no idea the paleo diet was so beneficial to fibromyalgia patients!

    Once I decided I was “all in” for the paleo diet, I continued my maniacal research of paleo friendly blogs, yours being one. Your recipes are easy, and satisfying!!!!

    I’m a 38 year old female, mother of two, 5’7″ and around 185 pounds. I’m seven weeks out on my paleo diet, working out (cardio and weights), and feeling SO much better. The first two weeks were absolute hell, but as I started to feel the changes of the workouts and diet, I knew I couldn’t quit.

    Thank you for your blog. It’s something I look forward to, and it helps keep me motivated!

  3863. I love ice cream and since learning about the bad attributes if carrageenan , guar gum, etc. I don’t buy commercial ice cream anymore ! I already “liked ” your page and love your recipes. !
