To prevent inflammation, while promoting immunity, one needs to eat a balanced diet with whole fruits, vegetables, healthy carbs, lean protein and plenty of water. The Paleo Diet is one of the healthiest diets that those with autoimmune condition can embrace to keep our immune system healthy.
How AIP diet impacts the immune system?
Unfortunately, the western diet consists of foods that make the immune system function abnormally. Gut irritants like grains, legumes are considered to be harmful as these foods contain harmful chemical compounds such as gluten and lectins, these kinds of foods produce long term inflammation in the body as a result of causing chronic inflammation in the gut which is also known as “leaky gut” and further effects immune response.
AIP diet aims to show a healthy impact on immune system by reducing inflammation in the body by replacing processed and unhealthy foods with actual whole food. Chronic inflammation has the risk of increasing heart diseases, diabetes, Chron’s disease, and even cancer. But eliminating the AIP non-friendly foods can reduce the inflammation in the body and improve overall health.
Why Follow Autoimmune Nutrition?
The AIP diet protocol aims to support the gut health and reduce inflammation in the body by eliminating certain types of foods such as dairy, beverages (like alcohol), processed and refined sugars, food additives, and nightshades. Rather it includes foods like grass-fed and organic proteins, leafy vegetables, fruits and fermented foods such as fatty fish, chicken, tuna, avocado, broccoli, bananas, apples, dates, and figs to name a few.
Autoimmune protocol helps boost your immunity by providing
- Abundant protein
- Essential Nutrients like Vitamins and Minerals
- Improves Gut Bacteria
- Reduces Inflammation
Role of Protein In boosting Immune system
Your entire body’s defense system is built on proteins. Proteins are made up of amino acids which play a vital role in forging immunity. They also play a major role in powering the body’s T-cells that protect you against foreign invaders. Foods rich in proteins consists of essential micronutrients such as zinc and selenium which also contain disease-fighting properties.
A diet low in protein intake can impair low immune reaction and leave you weak and fatigue. It’s important to include protein intake in your daily diet for a healthy immune system. You can get your daily dose of healthy protein from food sources including chicken, crab, grass-fed beef and steak, Salmon, Shrimp, coconut yogurt, and tuna to name a few.
Essential Nutrients like Vitamins and Minerals
Studies show that following a diet rich in whole foods including fruits, vegetables, organic meats, seafood, provides several nutrients such as vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin C, zinc, copper, protein, B6, B12, and selenium help improve your health condition and reduce the risk of chronic conditions in the future. You can get your daily dose of vitamins and minerals in your diet by following the Autoimmune Protocol while also keeping your immune system strong and healthy.
Why Consider Paleo Dietary supplements?
Due to age or underlying factors, our bodies may not be able to absorb all the nutrients from the food we eat. In such case, paleo dietary supplements can be included in our diet to boost our overall intake. They provide additional nutrition and support to the body in managing the symptoms of autoimmune disorder. Paleo AIP Dietary supplements like our AIP protein powder and Paleo collagen protein powder are made from grass-fed collagen protein (from adhering meat and bone) and include an organic superfood blend ( organic apple fiber, organic carrot, organic spinach, organic mushroom, and more)

It is not just only meant for people suffering from chronic disorders but it is also helpful for anyone else looking to feel better. Ooh.. that was quite fascinating. Never would I’ve ever imagined that consuming a high amount of protein every day can enhance our internal antibody as well. Since my family and I just recovered from COVID-19 for a few days now (thank God), I need to make sure what we eat on a daily basis won’t be harmful to our bodily functions. I’ll consider these options when I look for the right ingredients for the meals later.
