Last week’s post on our favorite food hacks was a huge hit, so we decided to follow it up with round two. We are going to call these our favorite kitchen hacks. What was your favorite food hack from last week? This one was submitted by a reader and won my vote for the best one:
I feel like we could spend weeks talking about kitchen hacks and food hacks and I am ok with it. To be honest, I nerd out every time I find a new set of kitchen hacks to try. Actually, most of the time I forget but I always have the intention of trying them.
What is your all time, can’t live without, have to tell everyone Kitchen Hack? Leave a comment and let us know.
Kitchen Hacks
I have been advertising these kitchen hacks as my top 20 that we have put together. I just found the most amazing hack not on the list, so I am going to make it Tweet-able here and that way the “list” is still 20. Can you tell I have a slight OCD issue. Of all the kitchen hacks I have read, this is my all time favorite and will save my fingers from being burned.
Before I ramble anymore, here are our favorite kitchen hacks!!!

These are some awesome tips, thanks!
Here’s one of my faves, I keep my ginger root in the freezer, then just peel and grate with the spice grater as needed. It keeps it from going moldy in the fridge. :)

Yes I do the same thing

I haven’t had much luck with the upside down nut butters, but I find putting the jar in a bowl of hot water for a bit (20 min?) before making makes them way WAY easier to stir.
Sharon
Thanks for the tips! Am going to the pantry right now to turn all of the nut butters upside down! Novel idea…why didn’t I think of it! Thanks again…Happy Friday the 13th! Enjoy your ‘first’ Valentine’s Day!

I always wonder why I don’t think of everything
