Ok so I was on a complete strawberry kick today so this was the creation I came up with for dinner. I was pleasantly surprised as to how wonderful this was especially after my grill ran out of propane halfway through and I had to be a 1 man professional pit crew to get the flame back but I triumphed; wasn’t 9 seconds but I think I got it done and re-lit in under a minute. Hope you Enjoy.
Berry Bird Burgers with Strawberry Salsa
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 pounds ground turkey
- 1 egg
- 1 cup diced strawberries
- 1/2 red onion
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/4 cup almond flour
- handful of fresh arugala chopped
- strawberries to garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill on a medium heat, about 450-550 degrees Fahrenheit
- In a large mixing bowl, combine strawberries, onion, arugala, and garlic and mix well
- Next add in the turkey, egg, and almond flour and knead it well with your hands to ensure an even spread of ingredients
- Once mixed well, form your burger patties at least 3/4 inch thick, I made mine the size of my palm and got 6 of them
- Place on your hot grill and cook for about 8 minutes per side or until done. Make sure you let them cook well on the first side so they stay together when you flip them
- Once done remove from the grill. I plated mine with Paleo Biscuits that I made from Robb Wolfs site
- I then used my strawberry salsa and garnished the top with sliced strawberries and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.
- Enjoy

I am diabetic and have to really watch my carbs, but I also monitor the amt of fat & protein content as well to get the whole picture of my caloric intake. Can you include the nutrition info on your recipes? It would be such a great service for me and I bet many others too!
I love your recipes they are always so amazing!

Unfortunately, that isn’t something I have available at the moment. I know some apps like myfitnesspal have the info there ? Hope that helps! :)
