Dare to dream and try this on anything you would use regular BBQ sauce on, you might be surprised with the sweet twist it brings to your palate with a slight kick at the end. Enjoy!

I made this sauce yesterday subbing blueberries instead of raspberries – very delicious! Thanks for posting such great recipes – both your spicy and sweet pulled pork are go-to recipes for me now!

Thank you so much

Any idea what the EVOO is for? The recipe calls for 4 TBS but then doesn’t say what to do with it. Is it the “heat up some coconut oil” piece? TIA! Can’t wait to try this on the pulled pork tonight.
George Bryant
It’s for sautéing the onions with.

The pork was delish and I was so looking forward to the sauce, but the seeds in the raspberries killed it for me. Sorry, but I’ll have to stick with the Beasty BBQ sauce for everything. Now that’s the bomb.

I lovvve this sauce; I ate it with some pulled pork that I made and it totally made my meal! I gave a shout out to you and your recipe on my blog… :)
George Bryant
Thank you so much! I appreciate the shout out :)

I used this with the pulled pork and it was fantastic! I liked it so much I was eating the sauce out of the pan lol. It was so good I wondered what else I could put it in/on so I mixed some up with a little bit of paleo mayonnaise and grilled chicken and some cut up veggies and it makes an amazing chicken salad!

That sounds absolutely divine, I will have to try it

Why do you add the ketchup? Is it for the spices? Body? Acidity? Just wondering because I am allergic to tomatoes, and would need to find a substitute for the ketchup. Otherwise, this sounds fantastic!

It is more for the body, you could replace it with anything you want. Even something like pumpkin, maybe a pumpkin raspberry bbq sauce for the fall?

My daughter is anaphylactic to tomatoes and we use banana ketchup/sauce. UFC has a cost friendly version.

I made this with blackberries, since the store had only sweetened raspberries. Still very good, though the blackberry seeds are more noticeable than more than raspberry would be. Also, it’s one of those things that’s better the next day, so make it ahead of time if you can!
Civilized Caveman
So good to hear, blackberries sound amazing I will have to try that. And yes, this sauce is perfect at about day 2 or 3
George
Melanie it will be fine without it, no worries. You will still enjoy it since the raspberries are sweet

This looks great! I am excited to make it to go with the crock pot pulled pork this week. I am in a paleo challenge at my CrossFit and I am VERY strict paleo during the challenge, so I'm not eating honey. How critical is it to the recipe? Since it's such a small amount, I'm hoping it will still be great. What do you think?
