Alright gang, this one is short. Really short. Sixty seconds, actually. You know why?
Because I only need sixty seconds to motivate you, and that’s my goal today: To get you motivated, fired up, and excited about the future so that you take a meaningful step forward. Right here, right now, today.
Every action you take in your life is just that—an action. Saying yes is an action. And guess what? Saying no is an action too.
Every-time you think or say “I can’t do that, I’m not ready for that, I can’t make a change . . .” you are taking an action and making a choice. So this is my challenge to you: Make a choice to take a step toward a possibility for change.
Just like climbing a mountain, every little inch of progress that you give is still progress. A mountain is a perfect metaphor for life itself because, you know what? No one else can climb that mountain for you. In life, only you can take a step in the direction you want to go in. You get to choose which direction that is, and usually the most reward comes from the direction that is most difficult: uphill. Only you can accomplish your goals and your dreams. Don’t make it more complicated than it is! All you have to do is keep taking steps in the direction that you choose.
There is no need to stay still…

Get motivated, get fired up, and then do something with that. Take some difficult steps today. No one will ever believe in you more than you do. Give yourself permission to believe in those dreams and get out there and chase them!
Actionables
Here are some ways you can make a leap forward in your life right now:
- Get out a journal, notebook, pad of paper, or word processor. Make a list of your top three goals in life. Then make three new lists with each of those goals as a heading, and list everything that you need to accomplish to reach that main goal, even if each list is over a page long. For each of those new lists, pick one task that you can take action on right now to help you reach that master goal.
- Write down the words “I give myself permission to chase my dreams” on a piece of paper, and tape it somewhere visible. Above your desk, on your mirror, on a wall. Having a visual reminder of your intention can be a powerful aid.
- Each day when you wake up, look yourself in the mirror and say the words “I will take a step forward today.” Commit to doing this every day. That intention will stick with you, and set the tone for making progress—no matter how small—every single day.
