Wow I remember before I went Paleo, every piece of beef was tough and had to be cooked a certain way, I have learned with grass fed beef is it doesn’t matter, it is going to be delicious and perfect every time you cook it. I didn’t need to bake these but it helped embark some great flavors.
Baked Swiss Steaks
Ingredients
- 2 grass-fed swiss steaks
- 14 ounces stewed tomatoes
- 2 carrots peeled and diced
- 2 stalks of celery diced
- 1/2 onion diced
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 2 tablespoons coconut aminos
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit
- Ensure your grass fed swiss steaks are about 1/4 inch in thickness
- Preheat a saute pan on medium high heat on your stove
- Take your steaks and coat the exterior with salt, pepper, and 1/4 Cup of the almond flour
- Melt your coconut oil in the skillet and then sear each side of your steak for about 2 minutes and then place in a pregreased baking dish
- Add all of your remaining ingredients to the pan and cook for about 7-9 Minutes
- Pour your sauce over the steaks and cover with aluminum foil
- Bake for 60 minutes
- Enjoy

OK so i decided to try to make this for the husband today =) he’s superrr picky idk what to cook for him anymore… I’ve never heard of coconut aminos before and I’ve never used almond flour hmm. Excited and nervous hope he likes it =) Sometimes he throws out what i make and its so heartbreaking. Wish me Luck! lol =)

When you call for "swiss steak" in the ingredients list, do you mean cube/minute steak? The kind with the lines cut through both sides almost to the middle in two directions? Looks almost like ground beef sticking out all over the surface?
