Our days are jam-packed with activities, and it can be hard to relax and give your brain a break. Everyone today tends towards multitasking to fit all their activities into one 24-hour day. If you can’t think about five different things simultaneously, you are in the minority.

Our brain needs some downtime to recharge and refresh, which helps us to be more focused, healthier, and productive. A good, quality night’s sleep is one of the best downtime forms. Have you ever tried to go to sleep, but your mind is racing a mile a minute? It seems that when you want your mind to take a break, it just won’t listen.

Studies show that sleeping for a few hours may increase the risk of certain medical conditions. Studies have shown that cannabis can help you fall asleep faster, promoting improved quality of sleep.

With the emergence of online weed delivery services, you can now conveniently buy weed products with fast, reliable same-day delivery.

If you are wondering how to give your mind a rest, here are a few ways to make sure your brain is well-rested!

Intentional idleness:

One of the main reasons is that we don’t let our bodies stop at the same time. The mind and body are connected. It is hard to keep the mind at bay when the body is still moving.

To that end, the first way to help your mind to rest is to stop moving your body. Find a quiet place in your home or another location where you can be alone. Sit still or lie down and let your mind wander.

Try deep breathing

Try a few breathing exercises. Yoga is great for teaching you how to listen to the sing-song rhythm of your breathing. You probably didn’t notice that you were breathing shallow and fast.

Now, you can slow it down and go deeper to bring more oxygen to your lungs. Increased oxygen levels also increase mental clarity and focus.

Combining yoga and cannabis may elevate your practice to a new level. Microdosing cannabis is a great way to start and can create a profound synergy when paired together.

Spend time in nature

Your brain doesn’t have to work when you are in a natural environment. So spending time in nature will not only rest your mind but also help you feel relaxed and refreshed. In addition, being in and around nature can also help bring down muscle tension, blood pressure, heart rate, and stress hormones.

Do those activities that make you happy

Find something to occupy your time that is not related to work or problem-solving. Often, we are thinking of ways to fix or change something. Try reading a favorite book, fishing, watching the ducks in the park, or simply staring up at the clouds.

Listen to Music

When you want to give your brain a break, listen to music. Music usually conjures up memories of less stressful times. It also calms the savage mind. Let the dulcet tones lull your mind into a deeper consciousness. Listen closely, not just as background. The more you notice, the less room there is for distracting thoughts

Dig in the dirt

Digging in the dirt not only rests your mind but also lifts your spirits. Soil has some microbes, and inhaling these microbes can stimulate serotonin production, lifting your mood and helping you focus. The sweet aroma of fresh soil, vegetables, herbs, and flowers calms your mind, making you feel less depressed and anxious.

Take a Break

If you want to tune out the chatter in your head, take a break to change your focus. You can walk around, chat with your friend, get some snacks, and daydream.

These small resets can help clear mental clutter, reduce stress, and boost focus when you return to work.

Taking a 5-minute break can help you recharge and reset. Working intently? Use a timer or break-reminder app to pause and reset every 90 minutes.
