The Best Healthy Coffee on the Planet
Finally, after 6 years of being a food blogger and obsessively talking about coffee, I created my own! We call it Hug in a Mug Coffee.
I was sick and tired of getting sick and tired drinking sub-par coffees. Caffeine does not cause shakes and sweats, mold does and most coffee is loaded with it. Not ours!
We are direct-trade, hand-grown and picked on family farms, hand-roasted by us, hand-bagged by us, hand-shipped by us to you and made FRESH TO ORDER with every bag!
We only use the top 1% of beans in the world and meticulously taste (sometimes too much) to get your coffee perfect before shipping to you!
To ensure you always have the freshest coffee possibly, we ship it to you on a subscription base. We offer 1 bag a month or 1 bag every 2 weeks and you can even add a custom mug.
If you need more than 1 bag every 2 weeks or 1 bag a month, you can either sign up for multiple subscriptions of send us an email to [email protected] and we will adjust your subscription for you.
Cold Brew Coffee Recipes
You have all seen me experimenting with a lot of cold brew coffee flavor infusions! Cold brew is one of my favorite ways to brew coffee and it lasts for 2 weeks refrigerated when complete. Talk about easy!
I am currently working on around 20 different flavor infusions, and while I perfect those I wanted to share a few successful ones right now.
How to Make Cold Brew Coffee
The basic recipe for all of our cold brew coffee is the same. The brewing process can be as simple as a mason jar or a large french press or a little more sophisticated with a cold brew tower.
For simplicity, I am going to teach you how to brew cold brew coffee with just a mason jar, coffee, and water.
The ratio of coffee to water is our preference and can be scaled up or down to your needs:
- 2.5 ounces of medium ground hug in a mug coffee
- 24 ounces of filtered water
The process is extremely simple:
- Place the 2.5 ounces of ground coffee in the bottom of your mason jar
- Add your 24 ounces of water ensuring all the coffee grounds become saturated
- Place the lid on your mason jar and place in your refrigerator for 13-24 hours (we prefer 24)
- Remove from the refrigerator and filter through a coffee filter into another container
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks
